Fantastically beautiful Charoite stone - a photo of a mineral, compatibility with zodiac signs, how to care for a mineral, a stone in lithotherapy
What do you think about when you hear the phrase "Siberian crown"? Most likely, about beer. And it would be worth it about a unique gem mined exclusively in the Lena River basin, fantastically beautiful, with the name charoite corresponding to this incredible beauty.

Yes, yes, the charoite stone is so rare that it is developed exclusively in one place - our native Siberia. The age of the rocks containing the mineral of lilac and violet hues is estimated at about 135 million years, and the first discovered charoite quite recently, only some 70 years ago.
Yakut pseudoslate
The history of this stone is inextricably linked with the name of V.G. Ditmar, an outstanding Soviet geologist who explored the Murun massif in the Republic of Yakutia, where the scientist discovered blocks of a hitherto unknown mineral, which he described in detail in his notes, at first mistaking it for a type of slate. Later, the geological base, near which charoite was discovered, was named Ditmarovskoye.

In 1960, after a detailed examination of the discovered rock, the exclusive purple mineral received its name, derived from the name of the local river Chara. The discoverers of industrial stone deposits were a group of geologists led by Alekseeva and Rogovs.

Charoite belongs to the group of pyroxenes, and the rock in which it is found is called charoitite. It sometimes also contains inclusions of other minerals, 40 of which are extremely rare.

The Murun mountain range at the junction of Yakutia and the Irkutsk region has been studied by a huge number of geologists at different times. In this amazing place, a large number of gems are mined, which are no longer represented anywhere in the world. Including charoite. The area of the territory on which its deposits were found is only 10 square kilometers. The total number of extraction points is 26. Stone reserves are estimated at 140 million tons. The local authorities set a quota for the extraction of the mineral - no more than 100 tons can be mined per year, although in reality even less is mined.

Color varieties
The violet color of charoite in all its variety of shades from purple and wisteria to deep, tending to black, is due to a decent amount of manganese in the rock. Take a closer look at the photo of charoite - the stone seems to be painted by a brilliant artist: smooth overflows from light to dark tones will captivate the imagination of even the most sophisticated aesthete. Inclusions of other minerals: quartz, aegirine or spar give even more originality to charoite.

In total, 10 varieties of this stone are distinguished.
- Needle charoite. The so-called "needles" are formed due to aegirine impurities. This type of gem is considered the easiest to process;
- Homogeneous, also called drain. It has a deep purple or lilac color, often used in arts and crafts;
- Shaly. Violet stone with a slight tint. Just this subspecies was identified by Dietmar.Esotericists appreciate it for its magical properties.
- Rosette-shaped. It differs from its counterparts in that it has not a fibrous, but a scaly structure. Scales form rosettes. It has a heliotrope or purple color. A favorite of jewelers.
- Lilac charoite-asbestos. Also highly valued by jewelers. Its fibers are homogeneous, have a smoky sheen. It is valued at the level of precious stones, although it is classified as semi-precious.
- Veined-spotted - the most common subspecies of stone, covered with small silvery and golden dots.
- Radiant. Structured in the form of paniculate and sheaf-like aggregates, it has admixtures of other minerals.
- Spotted radiant. This variety has a wide color variability. The golden hue is due to inclusions of tinaxite, black - aegirine. Spar forms peculiar gray stars.
- Curly. It looks like vein-spotted, only the dots here are replaced by more pronounced spots.
- Columnar charoite is structured by straight parallel fibers. Has a glossy sheen.

Recently, the interest of jewelers in this mineral has been growing in proportion to the increasing quotations for it. Therefore, the government of Yakutia has a motivation to intensify the development of charoite.

In lithotherapy
Despite the fact that the stone is known to science and lithotherapists relatively recently, specialists in the field of stone treatment have already managed to evaluate the healing properties of charoite. First of all, the stone has a beneficial effect on the psyche. In order to relieve stress, as well as get rid of the suffocating feeling of anxiety, it is enough just to admire the stunning tints of the purple crystal. By regularly meditating on a gem, a person can get out of the deepest depression.

Jewelry from charoite strengthens the immune system, and also increases the overall body tone. Already after a week of wearing such a product, its owner feels an unprecedented surge of vivacity.

In addition, charoite trinkets help improve memory, increase working capacity, and alleviate pain.

Violet crystal energy is associated with Muladhara, the navel chakra. Therefore, charoite will become an indispensable tool for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and pancreas, kidneys, and spleen. The stone enhances the effects of drugs taken to treat this kind of ailment. Charoite literally saves those suffering from urolithiasis, since this mineral, interacting with the patient tactilely, is able to change the structure of kidney stones. It kind of softens and crushes them, which is why they are excreted from the body much faster. In order to alleviate the course of the disease, it is enough to apply a charoite product to the kidney area for 10 minutes twice a day.

Charoite earrings will relieve the owner of migraines, and figurines or any other lavender crystal products placed at the head of the bed will help to say goodbye to insomnia and nightmares forever. Small children, thanks to the effect of the stone, become less capricious.

Purple is called the color of intelligence and inner harmony. This is the color of sages, spiritual mentors, ascetics. The stone is ideal for individuals who are looking for a way to their true self, striving for peace and tranquility. Charoite helps its owner to become more sensitive to their needs, and more responsive to other people: learn to listen and hear, look for solutions that will be most beneficial for everyone.

Regular meditation with a stone will help you gain control over yourself and cope with outbursts of negative emotions, turn on analytical thinking and intuition, find and develop hidden talents.

Who suits charoite most of all is teenagers. Jewelry made of purple crystal is very fond of young owners: products made from this mineral help young men and women to find their place in life and direct their violent energy into a creative direction.

Horoscope compatibility
Astrologers associate charoite with the element of Air. Talismans from this stone will help Gemini, Aquarius and Libra to overcome imbalance and gain healthy self-confidence, minimize rash decisions and learn how to measure before cutting.

This mineral has good compatibility with representatives of the signs of Water. Scorpios, Pisces and Cancers will become more active, ambitious, resolute, and develop leadership qualities. Violet crystals will be especially useful for the “water”, occupying leadership positions - charoite amulets make their owner a true grandmaster, calculating the actions of others and the further development of events a hundred moves ahead.

But charoite is not suitable for fire signs, because it enhances the most unpleasant features in its representatives. Leos will become overly arrogant, Aries - expectedly - stubborn, Sagittarius - aggressive. Health conditions may worsen.

The effect for representatives of the elements of the Earth is twofold. On the one hand, excessive conservatism, intransigence with any alternative opinion and grouchiness may appear, on the other hand, lethargy and passivity.

Care
The only rule for caring for charoite is no chemicals! Absolutely none.Even a weakly concentrated soap solution is prohibited. From it, the crystals also lose their natural luster. Therefore, you can wash charoite only under running water.

To add shine, the stone can be rubbed with a piece of silk or velvet. Do not allow friction on a hard surface, as this can hopelessly ruin the product. Charoite jewelry should be removed before physical activity. And the point is not only that this increases the risk of mechanical damage, but also that the gem does not tolerate sweat.

Esotericists say that about once every six months it is necessary to clean charoite products from negativity: for this you just need to leave the crystal in the sun for 40-60 minutes.
