Fast and effective pearl cleaning
Pearl jewelry needs regular maintenance. You can take care of pearls at home by purchasing a special paste or Talisman preparation, produced in Russia. If they are not at hand, resort to very effective folk remedies. After all, pollution causes damage to the surface, leaving microcracks, contributing to the loss of luster and corrosion of the mother-of-pearl layer.

Pearl Jewelry Cleaning Methods
There are quite a few recipes for cleaning pearls at home. Let's consider some of them.

liquid soap solution
Dissolve a teaspoon of the product in a glass of warm water and lower the product for 30 minutes. Then you need to rub the stones, resorting to the help of a sponge, rinsing at the end of the process in clean water. The last step is to dry the beads with a soft cloth.

Soap is replaced with shower gel, facial wash or baby shampoo. But it is categorically impossible to use liquids intended for dishes and windows, whose saturation with aggressive components will adversely affect mother-of-pearl.

Helper Salt
The product perfectly cleans pearl jewelry, sea salt is especially good, but it is also possible to use a cooking product of the “Extra” type. Two tablespoons should be diluted in 200 ml of liquid. Let the crystals dissolve completely. After that, lower the pearls, and after 15 minutes, rinse them in cool water, dry and polish with a velvet cloth.

The second method suggests putting the accessory in a nylon sock, pouring about two tablespoons of salt there. After tying, place it in a container filled with warm water for 30 minutes. At the end of the procedure, wash, sorting through the pebbles in your fingers. With residual dirt, you can lightly scrape the coating with your fingernail.

The benefits of starch
One side of the soft cloth will become the base on which the pearls are placed, the other side is sprinkled with starch powder in the amount of three tablespoons. After connecting the ends of the rag, clean the jewelry with massaging movements for 6 minutes.

Then you need to rinse the pearls under running water and, after getting wet, leave to dry.

Starch tends not only to thoroughly clean the beads, but also to polish them. The process of immersing stones in a container with powder is effective. Close it and shake it for a minute. It remains to rinse the pearls using a water jet.

solar exposure
Light samples are bleached by sunlight. On a hot day, leave them under the sun, and in the evening, wash them with water at a cool temperature, removing overheating. This method is not used very often, it is categorically contraindicated for black pebbles.

Olive oil
With a cotton swab moistened with a few drops of oil, wipe the stones without using force. At the end of the procedure, dry them and polish them. This will restore the luster of the pearls. Do not overdo it with an abundance of oil, because when flowing inside, it is very difficult to extract it. Use only a quality product that meets the expiration date.

Cleaning the thread and details of silver and gold
When caring for a pearl jewelry, do not forget about the thread, turning to the help of potato flour. After pouring it into a jar, lower the product there for a day, and then shake off the excess and rinse by wiping with a napkin.

When drying, do not hang the beads vertically, this threatens to stretch the thread!

Silver frame
A brush with toothpaste is useful for silver with a small number of beads. They also use a mixture of wine vinegar (1 tsp) and soda (1 tbsp), which is applied to a silver insert without rubbing for half an hour. Wash the object with soapy water and rinse.

gold frame
To clean gold, a composition that includes soap (1 tsp), alcohol (0.5 tsp) and half a glass of water is suitable. With a soaked cotton swab, gently go over the gold frame. The cleaning composition should not come into contact with pearls - alcohol is contraindicated for them. Baby powder or powder is good for cleaning gold. Stones will turn yellow with the constant presence of tobacco smoke. The temperature regime should be kept up to +25 degrees, and the humidity should be within 75%.

Wear Requirements
Hairspray, creams, perfumes do not work well on pearls.

Wear them after the cosmetics have been absorbed by the skin. When removing the necklace, do not touch the beads, only the clasp.
